Providing a solution for customers who have purchased a 16-bit 3G card (UmTS, EDGE, GPRS) from their local network provider and wish to connect the card via a USB slot, this product can be used with laptops and desktop PCs.
This offers more flexibility for anyone who has a supported Merlin or Aircard model for use with a laptop, and provides a way to connect to high speed internet services for anywho who lives in an area where wired broadband Internet is not available. You can also connect to low cost laptops which are not fitted with PC card slots (e.g. the new UMPC range), or any machine where the PC card slot is needed for another application.
The card is removable so the adapter allows you to move your 3G connection between your laptop and desktop PC.
